Donna McWilliams

Managing Director

I have worked in Learning & Development all of my working life, with a passion for helping to improve user productivity whether it is Maximo, Excel, Sharepoint or any other business system. I’ve been lucky enough to see first-hand the positive impact of business systems training for individuals and for companies.

I love the variety my role gives me from consulting with clients in the initial “ideas phase”, delivering training, reflecting on the project successes to running the business. Normally I am the first point of contact for any customer who calls us and ensures that all customer requirements are met with excellent service.

In my spare time I enjoy weekends away with my husband and twin daughters as well as running.

If I could sum up Electra in one sentence I’d say…

Most people who have worked with Electra as a client or member of the team will say it’s quite special and unique and it certainly has been during my 10 years (and counting) ”

Austin McKenzie

Digital Director (Europe)

Areas of expertise include building new and innovative e-learning for the Oil & Gas sector and many other industries, creating brand new ways for users to interact with content and also developing new techniques to allow learners to maintain knowledge.

Career highlights:

  • Part of the team involved in the development of MIST (Minimum Industry Training Standard) eLearning course
  • The building of our Learning Toolkit to provide solutions based technology for the market
  • One of the main developers involved in Fast Track technology

I am a member of Glasgow Rollin Rocks Wheelchair Basketball Team who participate in the British National League at Premiership Level. I regularly play drums to a variety of rock and pop tunes.

If I could sum up Electra in one sentence I’d say…

“Creating professional and forward thinking training in a friendly and competitive manner”

Beth Milne

Managing Director (Europe)

I love meeting and working with a variety of people in different job roles. One of my favourite aspects of my job is the chance to engage with people and work with individuals to help develop their understanding of the business processes and systems so they feel confident and more effective in their job roles.

Seeing people I’ve worked with passing on their newfound knowledge to colleagues and embedding the changes in the business through this type of cross knowledge transfer is why I love what I do.

I have two young children so my spare time usually involves a lot of walking and a lot of snacks! I also enjoy playing and watching sports and going to concerts with my husband.

Elaine Donaldson

Finance Manager

I worked in Finance for various Oil & Gas Operators and Service Providers for 12 years before deciding to take a break to raise a family.

I have returned to working part-time at Electra in a Finance/bookkeeping role and am loving the work/life balance. It is a great company to work for and I enjoy everyone’s enthusiasm for what they do.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking our dog and cooking. I am part of a running group, but the coffee and chat afterwards seems to take longer than the running!!!

Ron Gordon

Senior Learning Designer

I joined Electra in 2022, bringing with me 15 years of experience in e-learning. I studied design for digital media at Robert Gordon’s University and have a real passion for design that I like to inject into everything I create, whether that be e-learning, promotional material or green-screening my kids into classic movies.

My spare time is fairly dominated by my 5 and 1 year olds – but when I get the chance, I like going to gigs, visiting the cinema and hitting the slopes on my board (wish there was more snow in Scotland).

If I could sum up Electra learning in one sentence I’d say…

“Very welcoming, knowledgeable and people orientated”
