I joined Electra in 2022, bringing with me 15 years of experience in e-learning. I studied design for digital media at Robert Gordon’s University and have a real passion for design that I like to inject into everything I create, whether that be e-learning, promotional material or green-screening my kids into classic movies.

My spare time is fairly dominated by my 5 and 1 year olds – but when I get the chance, I like going to gigs, visiting the cinema and hitting the slopes on my board (wish there was more snow in Scotland).

If I could sum up Electra learning in one sentence I’d say…

“Very welcoming, knowledgeable and people orrientated”
I was quite artistic when I was younger, and l always had an interest in craft and design – which was my favourite subject at school alongside graphic communication. After school, I went to do computer graphic design at Aberdeen College before going to Gray’s School of Art to do design for digital media.
I play 5 a side football every week with friends and I like snowboarding, so I do that when the weather permits. I even went on a snowboarding holiday for my honeymoon in Lake Tahoe, California. I also have 2 kids, so a lot of the spare time is taken up by them – often going to the beach.
I used to work at the cinema when I was a student, so I am very into my movies. My favourite film is probably something retro like back to the future or ghost busters, but it changes every week. My favourite directors are Wes Anderson and Christopher Nolan.
I am really into music. I do not have a specific genre that I am interested in, but I go to a lot of gigs; as much as I can. The best one I have been to is Arcade Fire, a couple years ago at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh.
