When I was younger, I had the opportunity to travel to Japan to teach English. I taught all levels and ranges of abilities from kids to adult education. When I came back to Canada, I started working for a government-funded not-for-profit, and later ended up at a large accounting firm running multiple training programs focused on entrepreneurship and business skills. This journey brought me to Electra as a trainer and now as a business development manager.
Electra is a fast-growing company with a strong culture and a bright future. Our current model and service offerings are highly scalable and customizable, which is ideal for expansion. Looking ahead I can see the huge potential of the company and that is what brought me back.
When I used to work with new entrepreneurs, I would always ask them “How do you define success for your business and success for you personally?” For me, I want to work for an organization that values my skill set, and to do meaningful, impactful work with good clients.
As a parent, kids become one of the main focal points of life. So, I am an assistant coach for my son’s baseball team, and continue to play on the slow pitch team I have been on for the last 15 years. I also like to travel internationally and enjoy the great outdoors hiking and camping.
